- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Optional: 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Optional: ½ cup finely chopped nuts
- Optional: flavored extracts (almond or coconut)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well blended.
- Gradually fold in the shredded coconut until the mixture is evenly combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.
- Once chilled, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands.
- Place the snowballs in a bowl of powdered sugar and roll them around until they’re fully coated.
- Transfer the snowballs to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and let them cool for about 30 minutes to an hour.
- Once set, you can either enjoy them right away or package them in a decorative box for gifting!
