Description

Deliciously soft sugar cookies perfect for any occasion, made with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place cookies on a baking sheet with space in between them.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  10. Let cool completely before frosting.
