Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup low carb BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high (grill) or 400°F (200°C) (oven).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the olive oil all over the chicken thighs, then sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over each piece.
- Place the chicken on the grill or in your baking dish. Grill for about 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, or bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the last 5-10 minutes of cooking, brush your low carb BBQ sauce generously over the chicken thighs.
- Once cooked, let the chicken thighs rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Let the chicken rest after cooking to keep it juicy. Use low sugar BBQ sauce for a healthier option.
